The family group, Ho‘opi‘i ‘Ohana won the 26th Annual Ka Himeni Ana, the Hawaiian music competition that perpetuates Hawaiian history through traditional “backyard” singing and music-making in an informal and unamplified way. The sweet, vocal harmonies accompanied by the sounds of beautiful and lulling unamplified instruments create, what many say, is the purest form of music.
