The longest serving Chairperson at the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Trustee Apoliona was first elected to OHA in 1996, and was re-elected to her 4th, four-year-term as Trustee At-Large in 2008. She served the Hawaiian community at Alu Like for 19 years, six of them as the President and CEO before going to OHA. Apoliona has been a Director of Bank of Hawaii Corporation since 2004 and its subsidiary Bank of Hawaii since 1994. And as a member of Olomana, she is a recipient of the 2008 Lifetime Achievement Award by the Hawaii Academy of Recording Arts.
