Governor signs bill to transfer land valued at $200 million to OHA
Governor Neil Abercrombie made history today by signing into law a bill that transfers 10 land parcels in Kakaʻako Makai to the Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) in order to settle ceded land revenue claims that date back to 1978.

The Kaonohi Awards, by Papa Ola L?kahi are named for Alexander Friedenburg Kaonohi, one of the first Hawaiian doctors to own his own clinic, and to combine Western and traditional Hawaiian practices. Dr. Kaonohi also encouraged other Hawaiians to enter the health field by providing scholarships to individual protégés.
